My interest in tea began about ten years ago — a small curiosity that turned into a never-ending journey of discovery.
At some point, I heard that green and black tea come from the same plant, and I wanted to find out if that was really true.
Turns out — it is! All true tea (excluding herbal teas — but that’s another story) comes from Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub or small tree with hundreds of different cultivars, each offering its own subtle flavor profile. Whether a tea becomes green, black, or something else depends entirely on how it’s processed — in theory, any cultivar can be made into any tea type.
Over the years, my tea shelf has grown quite a bit — now home to around a hundred different teas. I’ve tasted countless varieties, and still, some manage to surprise me. The very best of those discoveries are now available here in this shop.
I have a special love for black teas, so they always get the most attention, but the others won’t be left behind.
I'm especially proud to offer teas from the Chen family — tea producers in the Wuyishan region of China who have been cultivating and crafting tea for generations. All teas from Wuyishan currently available in the shop come directly from their family.
The world of tea is endlessly vast, and I’ll keep exploring it — now sharing my favorite discoveries with you.
I'm also a small-batch
handmade sweets
producer. Around the winter holidays, you’ll also find my handmade sweets available here in the shop.
