20% Discount on Green Tea

The new green tea harvest is expected in May. In the meantime, the Spring 2025 harvest is available with a 20% discount.

When it comes to green tea, the fresher it is, the better. A good green tea will still taste enjoyable even three years after harvest; however, its distinctive fresh flavor begins to fade after about six months.

High-quality green tea is harvested only once a year – in early spring. Although tea can be harvested several times a year, the first flush is considered the finest. Depending on the region, it begins in March and continues until the end of April. The most expensive green teas come from the very first spring buds – prices for such teas start at around one euro per gram. Each subsequent batch is usually less expensive, but not necessarily of lower quality. Often, the very first spring teas are sold at prices that do not always reflect their actual quality.

High-quality, fresh green tea is very delicate – with floral and fresh green notes, as well as a sweetness reminiscent of sugar snap peas. Unfortunately, this sweetness begins to fade after about six months, so if you have obtained freshly harvested green tea, don’t save it – enjoy it while it is fresh.
