Floral Jin Jun Mei
Charming black tea with apple blossom, rose notes and honeyed sweetness.
Jin Jun Mei is a relatively new type of black tea that originated in 2005 in the village of Tong Mu, located in the Wuyi Mountains. This tea quickly gained popularity and is now considered one of the most expensive teas in the world. Jin Jun Mei refers to black tea grown specifically in the Wuyi Mountains, made exclusively from the first tender leaf buds that emerge early in spring
Authentic Jin Jun Mei is considered to be tea grown only in the village of Tong Mu; it is significantly more expensive than that grown elsewhere in the Wuyi Mountains.
This Floral Jin Jun Mei tea is cultivated in the Wuyi Mountains, but not in Tong Mu, which makes it available at a more reasonable price. It has a wonderful floral aroma, honeyed sweetness and an interesting yet pleasant bitterness if brewed stronger.
Floral Jin Jun Mei is quite different from Jin Jun Mei Honey Style; in taste, it is more similar to Lapsang Souchong Floral black tea.

Tea preparation recommendations:
The infusion of this tea is unusually light in color for black tea; it is not as "sensitive" as other teas picked from buds, but it is always worth reminding that when preparing black tea, you should not overdo the amount of tea leaves—one gram of tea is just a small pinch.
For Western-style brewing, use no more than 1 gram of tea per 100 ml of water and steep for about 5 minutes. If you brew the tea directly in a cup, it is advisable to use half as many tea leaves and stir the tea before drinking.
When preparing tea in the Gong Fu style, it is recommended to use 5 g of tea per 100 ml of water, letting the tea steep for only a short moment; for the first infusions, just a few seconds will suffice.
