Jasmine Hearts

White tea scented with fresh jasmine blossoms, carefully pressed into charming heart shapes!

Each package contains seven hearts – about 20 grams of tea.

This is Bai Mu Dan white tea, meaning that the tea is harvested with leaf buds along with one or two newly unfurled leaves.

The jasmine flowers used to scent these Jasmine Hearts thrive in Hengxian, Guangxi Province, nearly 1,500 km away from Zhenghe, Fujian, where the Bai Mu Dan tea is grown. Therefore, the processed Bai Mu Dan tea is taken there for scenting after initial processing. Freshly picked jasmine flowers are mixed with the tea leaves in the late afternoon and left overnight. This is because the aromatic buds of the jasmine flowers open in the early evening, releasing their fragrant essences. For this jasmine tea, the scenting process is repeated on three consecutive days.

White tea is typically pressed into large, thick cake-like shapes, but here it is compressed into large, thin plates, from which heart shapes are punched out as the final processing step.

Each heart weighs about 3 grams—perfect for a Gong Fu session or a large teapot (500ml to 1 liter).
