Huangshan Mao Feng 2026
A gentle green tea with delicate floral notes and a sweet finish.
Huangshan Mao Feng is named after Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), a renowned mountain massif in Anhui Province. “Mao Feng” roughly translates as Furry Peak, referring to the fine down that covers the young tea buds.
Huangshan Maofeng is one of China’s ten most famous teas and is often chosen as a prestigious gift tea.
This tea was harvested from an old, once-abandoned tea garden in the Baiji Mountains, where the tea bushes grew for many years without human intervention (Huangshan Mao Feng 2025 comes from a different garden).
The Baiji Mountains are located in the greater Huangshan mountain region, near the border of Anhui and Zhejiang provinces. In this remote mountain landscape, at elevations of over 800 meters, old tea gardens lie surrounded by deep forests and mist-covered slopes, whose natural environment gives the tea its distinctive character.
