Huangshan Maofeng is named after Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), a renowned mountain massif in Anhui Province. “Mao Feng” roughly translates as Furry Peak, referring to the fine down that covers the young tea buds.

Huangshan Mao Feng is considered one of China’s top ten most famous teas and is often presented as a national gift. Grown at an elevation of 800 meters, the tea is handpicked in early spring — selecting only the tender bud and one newly opened leaf.
