An exceptionally smooth and aromatic oolong tea with fresh, sweet spring floral notes reminiscent of lily of the valley and sweet peas.

Tie Guan Yin, which translates as “Iron Goddess of Mercy,” is China's most popular oolong tea. Traditional Tie Guan Yin is moderately oxidized and roasted, while the modern style is lightly oxidized and unroasted. This modern Tie Guan Yin is fresh and exceptionally fragrant, with sweet floral notes and a delicate, refreshing character. A delightful and refreshing tea for summer enjoyment.

  • Harvest: 04.2026.
  • Origin: Anxi, Fujian, China
  • Cultivar:  Tie Guan Yin
  • Best before: 04.2028.
  • Brewing:

This tea is easy to prepare and can be brewed directly in a mug. The tightly rolled leaves unfurl beautifully when steeped in hot water and naturally settle at the bottom. As the leaves expand considerably during infusion, just a small pinch is enough to brew a flavourful and aromatic cup.

    Western Style:

    • Tea amount: 3 g per 300 ml water

    • Water temperature: 100 °C

    • Steeping time: 3 minutes

    Gong Fu Style:

    • Tea amount: 4-5 g per 100 ml water

    • Water temperature: 100 °C

    • First steeping: 20 seconds

    • Next infusions: Add 5-10 seconds each time

    • Infusions: 5-7

    • Tip: Rinse the leaves briefly (1–2 seconds) before the first infusion to awaken the aroma.
